I'm not completely sure what this is going to become... It started as a pillow, then it wanted to be a twin-sized quilt, now it's a baby quilt size, sitting at home in Vaasa and contemplating its future while I enjoy a little much needed spring in Munich!

The fabrics are (mostly?) from Kaffe Fassett, and the pattern was inspired by his mitered boxes quilts and my own earlier version of a similar KF quilt in brights.

Finished!!

I should take a better photo when the sun is shining on this side of the house, but I couldn't wait to share the news!

I have a house guest this week who's helping me to finish up the Place Names quilt. His name is Findus.

Quilting Underway

I've quilted about 1/4 of the Place Names quilt so far - just a simple loop pattern - an unpredictable path from place to place. Pictured are the binding and the backing fabrics. I thought the stones seemed to fit the theme in a way. It's also calming in comparison to the bright colors on the other side! (And orange is a neutral, of course, too.)
