It was really hard to decide on a favorite to share, but this is what I settled on. It snowed here yesterday - a shock to my system after the 20+C weather I had the past two weeks - so I thought this quilt was the burst of color I needed this morning! I made this for high school friends' baby in Hong Kong back in the summer of 2007. Here's the

here is a little tutorial about how I put it together. Baby Bird is waiting for a baby brother or sister now! Better get started on the next one!

Yes, quilts are for more than covering up with...my grandma made a baby quilt for my son and we hauled that everywhere to put down so he'd have something 'safe' to play on. To friends, to the park, to church...

ReplyDeleteVery pretty! Thanks for the tutorial, too. I espesially love how the red senter stripe is different i size. I am working on two string quilts with a restricted colorpalette right now. Come on over and have a look... These string quilts are fun to make, and I love the twist you made on the blocks!!!
