Red Hot Reprise

Very little time for stitching here - and unfortunately for the foreseeable future. I did find a little time this week for my red hots and I was inspired to post by recent posts by Be*Mused and The Jetstream. I think I'm going to sew them together as is, without a border between them. I have no idea when that will be or how large it will become. The little section in the lower left corner is for a little bag.

There must be something in the air . . . just this week, I pulled my hex's out and happily began stitching on them with renewed excitement. I really love your red hots - they look great without any additional border.

never having done hexagons, I'm in wonder at all the inset seams you're looking, but must say they're very very effective blending together like this without borders... :-)

The Red Hots look wonderful. It might be the season, but they remind me of Valentine Day candy.

They're fabulous...there's something so fresh about a red quilt!
I think these would look great assembled together without a border.

OK, I love your method--make blocks that you like, however many you feel like, and then decide what they're going to be!

It will be lovely without the border between them.

Lovely hex´s, I really like making them, but these are gorgeous. Maybe an idea for my new babyquilt, which I have to finish before July 25th...

There must be hexagon fever going around!! I just started one with my leftover 1930s fabric and love working on it. Your Red Hots are wonderful!! Cannot wait to see how you put it all together.

I found your site courtesy of Cheryl on xanga...lovely red hots...but i have to beg to differ on use of border...think they would really "POP" if you set them off with a border of something neutral. I think you lose the hexagon if you set them together as is. But if you do, it will be beautiful...just my first impression. Come see me at www.xanga.com/ozarksfarmgirl. By the way, how nice to meet someone in Finland! Are you American and living there or are you a native? Have a good day! Janet

Stunning! I love your redhot, it's beautiful so far! I agree on not sewing a border in between.
