Are you sitting down?

I actually sewed today! After a serious post-Christmas (too-early-to-call-it-spring) cleaning this weekend, I sat down at the sewing machine and actually sewed! Back in November, I visited Clare in France while visiting my brother there for his birthday and she was kind enough to share some scraps with me. Here's the work in progress (a late inauguration-inspired piece):

The letters are finished and I think I'll surround them with some of these lovely plaids. Thanks, Clare! Hope the cleaning and organizing is a sign of change in my sewing and posting habits in the month ahead!

I like your Change quilt! Have you seen the website of the Obama Craft Project? Just google the term to find it. Some wonderful quilts and other art on the subject.

I like it a lot.

Word Verification: gadoo, which I believe to be a mammal smaller than a hedgehog, and not quite as cute

I was looking for that pale blue, red and white stripped bit the other day. At least I haven't lost it. Joke!

Glad you have finally put needle to thread and it's a pleasure. Any time. When are you coming back for more?
