9 in 2oo9

A friend and I have challenged ourselves to knit nine pairs of socks in 2oo9. The 'rules' state that we can't count any previously started projects, so this is my first official finish (please ignore the to-be-woven-in ends):

Here are the next two pairs underway (the first are my March Madness socks - not that I'm watching, but I did do a women's bracket with my brother; the second are my reverse outlining socks - a topic in class this week - not completely in love with the colors, but they are quick!):

You are making my fingers itch to cast on for a new pair of socks!

Must resit the urge until some other projects are finished.

are the little blue glove and hat for keeping the DP needles together when you're not knitting? So very cute! I am almost done with my second monkey sock, and next up is to try the two-at-a-time method.

I cannot believe how quick you are with the socks nowadays!

I keep seeing everyone knitting socks and am so tempted to learn myself but I'm already behind all the time with my quilting, I'm afraid I'd just start them and not finish like the Prayer Shawl I've been working on (or not working on) for months!
