Laundry

I had a little fever today and since I had rescheduled my only class for other reasons, I stayed home. So, I didn't pick up my camera - with the pictures of Tampere and my little chicken! I promise those tomorrow.

Nines has asked people to share a picture of their laundry room/space. Here's mine complete with the little Marimekko curtain I made in August. My washer is actually in my bathroom - and I hang my laundry (and quilting fabric) to dry in the sauna - also in my bathroom. I haven't had my own washer for several years, so this is very exciting. This little washer is only 16 inches wide - the larger front-load models wouldn't fit in the space!

The few non-quilting friends who sometimes check out my blog will probably shake their heads at the need to post about laundry rooms!

Everybody is posting laundry rooms so join the crowd. Yours looks tiny but neat and compact. What more could you ask for? Maybe a dryer??

Cute little machine! I just love how efficient the rest of the world is with their space. Thanks for all the comments on my blog-I'm just now getting around to visiting more blogs. How exciting to be living in Finland. We have a friend who lives in Helsinki (he was a foreign exchange student 30 years ago).

Nice and compact and a good use of space! The French use those top loaders. Do you find you have to watch your fingers?

Well, You don'tNEED to post about laundry rooms, but I certainly appreciate the fun that goes with it!! Ah, now, I remember those curtains! I liked them then, and I still like them! And a larger washer would only cause you to have to come up with more space to dry things! Thanks for sharing! and hope you retrieve your camara soon!

Love your little laundry space. Our house is configured to have the washer in the kitchen.

What a sweet little washer! I'm determined to post my laundry when I've caught up on my bloglines! It's almost 10pm here now, so it'll have to be in the morning.

Looks like the typical laundry area for Europe! I had my DH move a wall to expand my area (and the walls are cement so it was a bit of a project) and then stacked a dryer on top of the front loading washer... but must confess - I hardly ever use that dryer! One of my 1st houses had laundry in the kitchen and I loved that - always sat on it while talking on the phone! LOL. Great place to put your curtain too - a splash of color in a white area.

Cheers!
