A First!

I made my first hexagon - actually, my first seven hexagons! They were a lot of fun and I can see why people have warned me that they are addictive! Many, many thanks to Nadine for her help! These are all green fabrics from my medallion project. Lots of comments on the last two rounds and what I should do with that turned corner block. I'm going to leave you in suspense about my decision - you'll just have to wait until I post a picture of round six! It's in the works, as are rounds seven and eight. I made about a million HSTs on Saturday. Hopefully I'll have some time to sew them together in the evenings this week. These little hexagons are destined to be part of a very small (top-secret) project I have to finish first!

Ah ha! Now that you've started, there is no going back. What I like about doing the hexagons is that even when I'm not in the sewing mood, I still do a few hexagons.

i'm looking forward to seeing the next rounds on your medallion quilt. I'm curios to see whether you fixed the cornerstone or not.

Your hexagons look great. Well done on having a go at making them. I am very tempted to also have a go at making some. May be next year once i finished some of my UFOs. Can't wait to see what you do with hexagons.

This is realy addictive. Normally I have a bag with several Hexagons with me. But at the moment my biggest addiction is knitting socks.

I love hexagon quilts! I started one with 1/2" pieces, done with civil war reproduction fabrics. I only have a small portion done. About the size of a pot holder. I keep thinking I should go back to it, but it was so much work! I should have started with larger pieces.

Hezagons! Wow! I am sitting on my hands trying my hardest to leave well alone!

Love the greens. I too am in a "green mode".

Is there a quilter ANYWHERE who doesn't have a hexagon quilt on the go?? I know I've got one! And so has nearly every other quilter I've met. Yours will be very very pretty.

Looking forward to seeing more medallion quilt, too. Bring it on, baby, bring it on!

Love, love, love your hexies! Aren't they just the most fun? I like to keep hexie supplies near the sofa for handwork. Keep going!

I had no idea that as a hexagon lover I am a member of a huge society. What is it about hexagons that grab us so. I love them in all sizes. Your fabrics are wonderful. Will watch to see what it becomes.
