Fabric Christmas means visitors from the US! I met a friend and her sister in Helsinki on Friday/Saturday and will meet up with them again on Wednesday in Turku and we will spend Midsummer in/around Vaasa. They were very kind to bring some of my stash (especially much needed batting) from the US - along with a few extra treats!One of the treats was this cool brown cotton bag from Vietnam. My friend has traveled there a few times for work recently. I photographed it with the two pillowcases she sent me from her last trip - both made from beautiful silks. (I think they look quite red in the photo, but they're actually orange.) All three came from this non-profit organization.
Finally, a couple pictures from Helsinki this weekend. (Can you identify the flag flying alongside the Finnish one? There was a special festival going on...)

At first I thought wow this is my flag but then I saw that this is the Swedish one. I can see that you had your fabric christmas indeed. Thanks for the lovely pictures you share with us.
Close, Gudrun, looks a lot like the Swedish flag, but there's also a red stripe in the middle. Any more guesses? :)
Oh *blush* I hope I haven´t offended the Swedish readers, I should have thought just a little of course this is the Ålands islands flag, sorry *blush*. Of course the swedish is just yellow and blue.
Yes, Guorun is right, it is the Aalands Islands flag. It took some work but I found it on the internet. I am learning more and more about Finland form you. Keep it up, I like it.
These silk pillows are adorable. Very pretty. Looking forward to seeing your doll quilt!
The weather looks lovely, maybe a bit windy. You are doing some fun travelling. Nice to get some of your stash from home.
