Bits and Pieces

It's been a busy week getting back into the swing of things after my trip, but I did manage to do a little sewing this evening. I spent a few months in London in 1997 and then lived there for a year in 2001/2, so this is for the Places quilt.

Thanks to a friend, I got some more water fabric while I was in Barcelona, so here are my first attempts at some free-pieced fish to go along with all my fish words. Hope to find a little more time in the sewing room this weekend!

London, Vaasa... and all the others you sure have lived in many places, must be fun.

London, is the place to be (a song that pops up in my head seeing the letters!) I have never been there actually, shame on me!
The fish really seem to swim!

I like the fish a lot. A friend bought me some silks and said she had seen silks done in a geometric fish pattern, but I just couldn't visualize it - but perhaps this is what she means? Very nice!

Hey, my little hedgehog friend. Love the fish. That fabric is neat. Hope you're doing well.

Cute fish!

I think you need one on the end with just white fabric, fish bones, and a very satisfied looking cat sitting next to it. ;)
