I do have one exciting photo to post today, however. I am actually getting somewhere on a quilty project! I didn't get this finished in time to meet the little one last week, but I think I will actually finish by his first birthday next week! I posted about my inspiration for this quilt a while back - further inspiration from a certain flag for the dark/light layout.

I just love this--the little bits of bright color winking out from the lighter, calmer background just makes your eyes want to look everywhere at once.

Welcome back home! What an interesting quilt, Jen. The pieced bands add little bright surprises in the top sorta like the I-spy Amy mentioned.
What a gorgeous quilt. I love the subtle flag pattern in the lights/darks.
That is such a nice quilt - so subtle makes it so special - the veiled reference to the flag is very clever

I love it - the colours are nice. Good to see a bit of bright pink and red etc in a baby quilt.
