Svampar is the Swedish word for mushrooms! I'm taking a two-evening mushroom course in Swedish this week - here's hoping the language barrier doesn't get me in trouble. (I do know that these (above) are very poisonous.) The season for
berry picking is over, but there are still plenty of reasons to venture into the woods before the ground is covered with snow!
I even bought new gummistövlar (below) for our excursion tomorrow! I've been eyeing them for a while and this seemed like the right occasion.
It seems I'm not the only one posting about mushrooms.
Kristin LaFlamme has a thing for them, too. (I had to get something quilty in here!)

Oh, that mushroom is beautiful! It looks like an elf should live under it. I have two glass Christmas ornaments that look just like it -- must be a traditional European image.
Great photo of the mushroom. I am one of the lucky winners of Kristin LaFalmme's mushrooms pincushions.
I love how you letters are turning out.
Marvelous boots! They are just the most wonderful color!
We have a song about a gnome who is sitting on a red mushroom with white polka-dots! I love your booties!
It's a beautiful mushroom, even if it is poisonous. The only thing prettier in the woods will be you in your stylish gummistövlar!
THat is a gorgeous mushroom! Probably why it is poisonous! The poisonous ones are probably prettier than the non-poison ones!
Oh, I NEEEEEEED those green boots.
